Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons white sugar [I added 1 more tablespoon]
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon [I added 1 more teaspoon]

Method

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C)
2.
Cream together butter, shortening, 1 1/2 cups sugar, the eggs and the vanilla. [I didn’t use a mixer.. I mix it by hand]
3. Blend in the flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. [Do not overmix!]
4. Shape dough by rounded spoonfuls into balls.
5. Mix the 2 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon. Roll balls of dough in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes, or until set but not too hard. Remove immediately from baking sheets. [I baked for the cookies for EXACTLY 8 minutes.. even though the cookies doesn’t look ready at all.. I just let it cool on the cookie sheet]

I always wanted to try out this recipe cos I just loved the name of this cookie :D .. It’s really easy to do and it’s delicious.. If you want to try it, make sure that you bake it for 8 minutes, no more/less than that.. This way, the cookies will be crispy on the outside & chewy on the inside.. mmm.. yummy.. :D .. My mom brought the cookies for her students, and they loved it.. And my sister who also loved it, said that it the cookies smell like honey star (the cornflake)… hmmm..

Well, anyway.. thank you Beth!
